Encounter breaks out in Doda: Terrorists are continuously targeting the Jammu division. Meanwhile, the police said on Thursday (July 18) that an encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the Kastigarh area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Police said, ‘Encounter has started in Kastigarh area of Doda. More information is awaited.’
There was an encounter with terrorists on 16 July as well
Earlier on Tuesday (16 July), the army had an encounter with heavily armed terrorists in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Four army personnel were martyred in this encounter. A policeman also died.

Officials gave information about the case
Giving information, the officials had said that this encounter started when the soldiers of the National Rifles and the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid a joint siege in Dhari Gote Urbagi of Desa forest area and started a search operation.
Giving further information, he said that ‘four soldiers were martyred and 1 policeman was seriously injured in the firing that lasted for more than 20 minutes.’ The policeman also died during treatment. The terrorist organization Kashmir Tigers had taken the responsibility of this attack. Since then, the search operation of security forces is going on in Doda. After this encounter, the 16th Corps of the Army gave information on social media and wrote, “Additional troops have been sent to the area, the operation is going on.” Let us tell you that the 16th Corps of the Army is also known as the White Knight Corps.
